Projected Opening

Weather Advisors are predicting a blast of cold air starting Friday, December 8th, which will allow us to fully engage in snow making activity.  Several cold nights with the right conditions will likely allow for a projected opening for skiing and snow boarding the weekend of December 16th.  Let's hope the forecasts are right!  We will keep you posted as to a future opening date for the tubing park.

Our Thirst Aid Room, Willard Mountain's Restaurant and Lounge, will be open Friday and Saturday Evenings, December 15th and 16th, whether or not the mountain is open for skiing and riding.

Want to be a Snowboard or Ski Instructor?  All are invited to join the fun!
We are having a two day new instructor workshop December 9th and 10th from 9-4.   Remember to bring your lunch and ski or snowboard equipment as there may be snow!  There is a $45 one time charge for this two day event. Call 518-692-7337 if you have any questions.  See you then!

We had a great opening day Saturday 12/16/2017.  Awesome to see so many smiles on the mountain again! Sunday, lifts open at 10 am and will shut down at 5 pm.  There will be no Lessons or Tubing offered this weekend as we are on a pre-season schedule.  We promise to keep you updated as lessons and tubing commence.
Monday and Tuesday, this week, the mountain will be open exclusively to race teams from 4-8 for practice.  We will hold practice again on Wednesday, but are hoping weather and conditions will allow us to also open to the public for night skiing.  Check back for confirmation on Wednesday's public night skiing status.

Yes, it is true!  Willard will be open for skiing and snowboarding Saturday from 12 -5 pm and Sunday from 10 -5.  Our snow farmers have been taking advantage of Mother Nature's gift of low temperatures to allow for this weekend's opening.   We expect to have 3 trails, 2 lifts and 2 learning centers available. There will be no lesson programs available this weekend.

We will be celebrating our season opening by offering these special prices:
Saturday 12/16/17: Open noon to 5pm  lift ticket just $15 dollars,  Ski or Snowboard rentals just $12
Sunday 12/17/17: Open 10am-5pm lift ticket just $20,  Ski and Snowboard rentals just $12

Come join us for a pre-opening celebration Friday evening in our Thirst Aid Room where Chef Rob will be preparing all your favorites!

Note: Sorry snow tubers, the tubing park will not quite be ready for tubing yet.  Check back for updates!

12/10/17 Mother nature blessed us with 4" of fresh powder Saturday evening.  This combined with the forecasted low temperatures for Wednesday - Friday increase the likelihood of our projected opening for skiing and riding next weekend.  Keep checking the website for updates (and always remember to refresh when you do!)  ´╗┐We will also keep you posted as we arrive at a projected tubing park opening date.)
